Snoop Dogg is definitely one of the most entrepreneurial rappers in the business. He has gambled with his brand and won in realms ranging from porn to reality TV, music and more. Could the sports industry be his next realm of endeavor? And could Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg be his next business partner?
Gawker reports:
Mark Zuckerberg has received a very serious, very real business overture from rapper Snoop Dogg, who tweeted that he'd like to buy a professional sports team with the Facebook co-founder. Think hard on this, Mark. Snoop is pretty convincing.
"Wanna do it betta n bigger than itz ever been done," the rapper tweeted to Zuckerberg's sister Randi, who had noted his overture on her own Twitter stream. Randi then suggested the team be called the "Mighty Nerds." How about "privacy snatchers?"
Facebook's CEO has yet to reply to Snoop, according to NESN.com.

All I can say is -- WOW. This would be quite the match, but who can say if it would be a match in heaven or hell.
The Facebook CEO certainly has a lot on his hands right now. Zuckerberg is currently dealing with the release of the Facebook movie, which depicts him negatively. On the positive side, he is doing a lot of press around his $100 million gift to the struggling New Jersey school system. Does the baby-faced CEO really have the time to engage in another project? We certainly all know that he has the money.
Perhaps Mark Zuckerberg should take on this new deal and form a sports team with Snoop Dog. Let's face it. As his profile grows, being associated with African Americans like Oprah and Snoop Dog will help him appear to be very interested in diversity and relations with many different communities.

By working with
Corey Booker and Oprah to spread the story about his gift towards education, Mark is definitely turning the public's view of him towards a more positive note. It would be easy to see Zuckerberg as just an out-of-touch, rich, white guy with no perspective because of his youth. His gift, and giving it surrounded by African American leaders, counterbalances the possibility of this assumption.
Snoop Dogg as a possible business partner for Mark Zuckerberg would polish his public profile in an entirely different way. In a similar fashion to the project that Justin Timberlake undertook in going from a boy bander to a sexy singer of R&B, Zuckerberg can increase his quality of cool by being associated with pop-friendly black folks. Doing business with Snoop would also make Mark appear to be interested in media and entertainment on a whole other level, not just as a tech geek, but also as a well-rounded mogul.
Snoop of course gets his in the deal by being associated with one of the hottest companies and names in the world right now. Maybe this
is a match made in heaven.
What do you think? Should Mark Zuckerberg go into business with Snoop Dogg? Or is the rap/sports/entertainment game a bit too much for the young man at this time?
