From StyleList:A good trench coat never goes out of style, which is probably why this classic cover-up was omnipresent on runways for fall and, most recently, spring 2011. Designers such as Michael Kors, Moschino, and of course, Burberry have been showcasing the covetable garment as of late and those are great offerings, however, where to find a cool version without the scorching hot price tag?
Enter Banana Republic. The mainstream retailer currently has a khaki Classic Trench in store. Double-breasted with a removable belt, epaulets, a full silk lining, and priced at $198, it seemed like a total score (and something that could last for years to come).
One is never sure how garments will translate from the runway to the real way, so we rounded up a panel of women (some bloggers, some not), to head to their local Banana Republic and test out the topper. Our participants, who have varying style and body types, dutifully reported back with their thoughts on size, fit, and fabrication.
