Academy Award-winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson will headline the Women's Association of New Jersey Performing Arts Center's annual Spotlight Gala on Oct.2.
The black-tie event, which is the largest non-profit fundraiser in The Garden State, will feature a performance from the 'Dreamgirls' star and raise money for the support of general operations and Arts Education programs at NJPAC.
President of the Women's Association, Sheila F. Klehm, said "We are pleased to open up the annual Spotlight Gala to a much broader audience this year by offering tickets at all price levels."
Tickets range from $35 to check out just the 'American Idol' finalist's concert up to $150 for admission to a dinner, the award ceremony and the Grammy Award winner's performance.
She continued, "Anyone who comes to the gala, no matter the level of support, helps NJPAC continue to provide world-class performances in Newark and arts education opportunities for young artists throughout the State."
Hudson, who recently shed 56 pounds and dropped five dress sizes from a size 16 to a 6 , performed Walter Hawkins' 'Be Grateful' with John Legend at his New York City Terminal 5 show last week. The Chicago native, who is also a Weight Watchers spokeswoman, is currently recording her sophomore album, which is due early next year.
