Former 'Real World Hawaii' star
Teck Holmes has been tapped to host Cartoon Network's new game show, 'Hole in the Wall.'
The Peoria, Ill.-bred host, who also did a stint as a veejay at MTV, is excited about the new venture.
"I really enjoy working on 'Hole in the Wall' because it's very fun, fast-paced excitement. I also like it because I get to work with kids and introduce myself to a whole new generation. This is the kind of show that you can watch as a family because the contestants range from 10-years-old on up and most of them are related. It's a great way to bond as a family," he told
BV Buzz, before adding: "Hopefully this is the vehicle that will take me to super stardom!"
Marking its U.S. debut, 'Hole in the Wall' is an international 30-minute game show that features two families competing in a series of moving walls with ever-changing cut-out shapes. The competitors must position their bodies in any possible way to clear the walls and avoid being thrust into a pool of water.
Produced by FremantleMedia North America - the company behind 'American Idol' - 'Hole in the Wall' features a live audience that watch the families vie for the chance to conquer the nearly impossible 'Impossiwall.'
'Hole in the Wall' premieres on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, Oct. at 7:30pm (EST).
After leaving the 'Real World Hawaii,' Holmes moved to Los Angeles where he became a sought-after music deejay and an actor.
The 34-year-old talent has appeared on TV series like 'Friend,' 'One on One,' 'NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service' and '
Lincoln Heights;' in addition to starring in films like 'The Walk,' 'First Daughter' and 'Van Wilder.'
