From Stylelist:Imagine spending two and a half hours doing your hair! That's what our latest makeover client, Stacy Trujeque, does in order to straighten her long, textured locks.
Not only is this time-consuming and damaging to her strands, but it's also the wrong look for Stacy's oval face shape, according to celebrity hairstylist Chaz Dean. "We want to work that shape for your advantage instead of fighting it," he says.
To do so, Dean adds a soft fringe around her cheekbones and jawline to open up her face and bring more of a square, balanced shape to it. Then he lops off a few inches from the heat-damaged ends and creates long layers to lighten her heavy mane and bring it away from her face.
Finally, in contrast to the hours Stacy spent straightening with a flat iron, her hair is styled with a round brush and large rollers for loose, bouncy curls.
"You look incredible," Dean says when he's done transforming Stacy's coarse hair into a soft, wavy 'do. To watch Stacy's makeover visit Stylelist.
