Coming out this week is the film that has been talked about the last several weeks and receiving lots of Oscar buzz, 'The Social Network.'
Directed by David Fincher from a script written by Aaron Sorkin, the story of how Facebook was started stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, Joe Mazzello, Rashida Jones, Rooney Mara, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, and Brenda Song.
On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history... but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.
'The Social Network' is a film that proves you don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies. Produced by Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, and Ceán Chaffin, the film is based on the book "The Accidental Billionaires" by Ben Mezrich.
Out on home video is 'Iron Man 2,' which stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, and Clark Gregg.
Directed by Jon Favreau, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero 'Iron Man.'
In 'Iron Man 2,' the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (played by Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (played by Paltrow) and James "Rhodey" Rhodes (played by Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces.
The Blu-ray release will include a commentary by director Jon Favreau along with 4 deleted/extended scenes with optional director commentary, a AC/DC "Shoot To Thrill" music video, a digital copy of the film, a 4-part The Making of Iron Man 2 documentary (Creating Stark Expo", "Practical Meets Digital", "Rebuilding the Suit", "A Return to Action", "Expanding the Universe", "Building a Legacy"), additional featurettes ("Illustrated Origin: Nick Fury", "Illustrated Origin: Black Widow", "Illustrated Origin: War Machine", "Working with DJ AM"), concept art, trailers, and more.
Also out on Blu-ray is the hilarious comedy film, 'Get Him to the Greek,' which stars Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Sean Combs, Elisabeth Moss, and Aziz Ansari.
Jonah Hill and Russell Brand reunite in a raunchy, raucous comedy from the writer and director of the smash hit comedy 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall.' Aspiring record company exec Aaron Green (played by Hill) has the brilliant idea of rejuvenating the career of fading British rock star Aldous Snow (played by Brand) with a comeback concert at the world-renowned Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Dispatched by his boss (played by Sean Combs) to transport the notoriously dissolute Snow from London to L.A., Aaron has just 72 hours to wrangle the out-of-control rocker across the Atlantic. The seemingly simple assignment devolves into a thicket of groupies and parties, as Snow does his anarchic best to undermine his handler at every turn and Aaron does whatever it takes to keep his unruly charge on track.
The Blu-ray will include an unrated cut of the movie, plus the version of the film originally shown in theaters. Extras on the 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray include a commentary with director Nicholas Stoller, cast members Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Elisabeth Moss and producer Rodney Rothman, 3 documentaries ("Getting To Get Him to The Greek", "Getting In Tune With The Greek", "The Making Of "African Child"), 5 Music Videos featuring Aldous Snow, Infant Sorrow and Jackie Q, Deleted, Extended and Alternate Scenes including an Alternate Intro and Ending, Musical Performances from Infant Sorrow's triumphant 1999 Greek Theater Concert and 2009 Comeback Concert, a gag reel, and a digital copy of the film.
