Former Jackson Five member Jermaine Jackson is claiming to be broke, and it ain't no joke! The singer-songwriter is alleging that he can barely manage to stay afloat financially.
According to TMZ, the entertainer was ordered to pay his ex-spouse Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza, the mother of his two children, Jaafar and Jermajesty, $3,000 a month in child support. However, the supposedly struggling Jackson clan member can't afford to meet the court's support demand because he says that his monthly income falls below $1,100.
Jermaine went to L.A. County Superior Court and petitioned to have the monthly support payments lowered to $215. Jermaine is also claiming that Oaziaza, who was once married to his younger brother, Randy Jackson, with whom she has three children, is better off financially than he is.
Jackson claims that his ex makes more money and is living rent free at his mother Katherine's compound. Reportedly, back in June, Katherine asked her ex-daughter-in-law to leave her estate, but Oaziaza refused. The Jackson matriarch even offered to move Oaziaza to a nearby condo, but Oaziaza wouldn't budge and sought the services of powerhouse legal firm Trope & Trope.
The report noted that Jermaine has had a few decent financial breaks over the last few years, including a 2007 one-time appearance on the reality show 'Big Brother,' which earned him a $450,000 paycheck. He also co-starred with three of his brothers last year on the A&E reality show 'The Jacksons, A Family Dynasty.'
The miffed Oaziaza has also claimed in the past that her ex-hubby drove expensive cars and lived in the same Calabasas, Calif., mansion they shared during their marriage. As a matter of fact, nearly a year ago, Jermaine was snapped by the paparazzi putting some extra gleam on his spanking-new, blinged-out Rolls-Royce at a do-it-yourself car wash.
Oh, Jermaine, shame on you if you're pretending to be down and out and trying to skimp on your obligations as a dad!
