Now Dr. Ro (full name: Rovenia Brock, Ph.D) is joining Dr. Mehmet Oz on his syndicated daytime talk show 'The Dr. Oz Show' in an effort to get America healthy.

On his Sept. 13 episode, Dr. Oz introduced his new campaign 'Just 10 Pounds' - a program that includes five commandments for losing 10 pounds that are designed to keep you motivated and help you lose weight and maintain it.

To help facilitate the 'Just 10' campaign is Dr. Oz's "A-Team" of experts that include Dr. Ro, interventionist Brad Lamm, trainer Gunnar Peterson and 'Dr. Oz Show's' chief medical consultant Dr. Michael Roizen.

Ro, who has also contributed to NBC's 'Today Show,' CBS's 'The Early Show,' ABC's 'Good Morning America,' and National Public Radio, is excited about being a part of Dr. Oz's all-star ensemble and believes this campaign is just what America needs.

"I'm honored to be working with him. I can't think of any better way to serve the public. There are few things that get me charged more than living out my purpose and serving others in this capacity, well this is it for me," Dr. Ro told BV Buzz. "I've been on the quest to get America healthy for most of my career. I will assist Dr. Oz with helping America to get healthy first by losing 'Just 10 Pounds,' a decision that can change lives. I will contribute by blogging for Dr. Oz's website, appear on the talk show and live web-chats all by providing the nutrition and health information to help America with its' food choices."

Ro, who penned the book 'Dr. Ro's 10 Secrets to Livin' Healthy' (Bantam Books), explained that before she became a nationally known nutritionist, she worked to get her own family healthy first.

"I first started with my own family and community - the black community - because as African-Americans we have suffered needlessly and disproportionately from diseases related to diet and lifestyle when compared to other groups. But today - being obese and overweight and dealing with the attendant diseases that go with it - is no longer a black problem; this is an American problem! Especially when you consider that over two-thirds of the U.S. population is affected," she expressed.

The Washington, DC-based health expert was a fixture on 'The View' last year as a part of Shepherd's highly-publicized weight-loss campaign.

"I had a blast! First, you have to know that Sherri Shepherd is one of the most generous spirits alive! I loved working with her and helping her to reach her health and nutrition goals in the face of Diabetes, albeit on TV-with her enormous schedule, wasn't easy, but it was doable and we had fun in the process. It was a great experience! I'd do it again," she shared.

Ro said there are two other celebrities she would also like to work with as well.

"I would like to work with Oprah Winfrey, but I know she's busy," Ro laughed. "I would also like to coach Fantasia. I think I could really help her get to a good place in general. Other than that, any one of them that would like to hDr. Roave me. I go where I'm needed!"

In addition to the 'Just 10 Pounds' campaign with Dr. Oz and working on a new book that she hopes to release next year, Dr. Ro is also developing an educational series for children called 'Dr. Ro's Fit Kidz.'

"Dr. Ro's Fit Kidz' is a DVD series for 7 to 11-year-olds to learn how to embrace living healthy lifestyles through food and fitness. I am looking for a TV home for the series, as I created it for a TV audience. We are now attempting to get it into schools and after-school programs nationwide. It really is a fun and creative series that's 'out of this world!' We already received a proclamation from Washington, D.C.'s mayor proclaiming July 22nd 'Fit Kidz Day.' We will receive a City Council resolution soon. I'm very proud of this work. It's some of my best work ever! I believe with every fiber of my being that it has to potential to help end childhood obesity in this country. In the series we feature Olympic gold medalist Dominique Dawes, members of the Washington Freedom women's soccer team and more," she explained.

In the end, Ro's message is simple!

"My passion is helping America one bite at a time," she closed.
