Meghan McCain (pictured), is not only a straight-shooting forward-thinker, but now it seems that not even her dad, John McCain, can put a muzzle on her when it comes to speaking her mind about Sarah Palin. The eldest of McCain's four children, Meghan has now publicly revealed her feelings about Sarah Palin in her new book, 'Dirty Sexy Politics.'
According to the outspoken American columnist and blogger, who has not held her tongue on how the Republican Party needs to change its stance on gay marriage and sex education (she is very pro-sex), life on the presidential campaign trail with the former Alaska governor was not an easy pill to swallow:
Palin added "drama, stress, complications, panic and loads of uncertainty" to the mix," says the bubbly progeny.
TweetThe 25-year-old, who describes herself as a "new Republican," thought Palin hurt her dad's campaign and wasn't much of a team player.
Meghan does make it clear, however, that she does not lay the failure of her dad's presidential campaign on Palin's shoulders:
"I do clearly state at the end, that we did not lose because of her, and I'm speaking out now because I do have conflicting feelings about her," Meghan says.
On the flip side, Meghan does not deny the fact that Palin brought enthusiasm and momentum to the '08 campaign. The young woman also claims to respect Palin as a Republican feminist who is working for women in the party.
Palin has made it quite clear that she is open to giving a presidential run another try come 2012. Will Meghan vote for the Republican lightning rod?
"It depends on the situation. You know I would have to hear more of what happens in the primaries," she told George Stephanopoulos on 'Good Morning America.'
"As you're well aware, anything can happen in the primaries, and I would have to see."
