Premiering at the Toronto Film Festival next month is 'Vanishing On 7th Street,' which stars Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, and John Leguizamo.
Directed by Brad Anderson, the film centers on a mysterious and seemingly global blackout that causes countless populations to simply vanish, leaving only their clothes and possessions behind. A small handful of survivors - a reporter (played by Christensen), a nurse (played by Newton), and a subway operator (played by Leguizamo) , must band together in a dimly-lit tavern on 7th Street to combat the apocalyptic horror around them. Realizing they may in fact be the last people on earth, the darkness hones in on them.
Newton, whose previous films include '2012,' 'The Pursuit of Happyness,' and the Oscar winning film, 'Crash,' just wrapped shooting on her latest film, Tyler Perry's adaptation of 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.'
