'The Today Show': MLK III on MLK Jr.Martin Luther King III was in Washington D.C. for the service to dedicate the first National monument in D.C. of a private citizen. MLK III was ten years-old when his father was killed, so his memory of his father is different that most people whose lives where effected by his father. MLK III says he remembers MLK Jr. as dad. Through the years he of course learned the importance of his father to the world. That understanding of MLK Jr. is what the organizers wanted to communicate, that MLK Jr. was not just a civil rights leader, but a human rights leader. The life story of MLK Jr. is one for all the people perennially.
