'Miss Universe 2011': And The Winner Is...African

It is estimated that over 1 billion people watched the Miss Universe 2011 pageant crown it's first African winner in over thirteen years. Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, is from the western city Benguela where the main language is Portuguese. Benguela was a port city vital to the slave trade in the 17th century. Today Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, 25 years old, has been crowned queen of the pageant. The pageant was co-hosted by Andy Cohen of Bravo TV, "Watch What Happens:Live" and NBC "Today Show" news anchor, Natalie Morales. There were several judges, most notably, Vivica Fox and Adrienne Maloof, from Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills". Leila Lopes gave one of the best answers to a very difficult question. The question asked what physical trait she would change and why? The very attractive Miss Lopes answered with, " Thank God I'm very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn't change a thing." Winner! Now that is winning.

Miss Universe 2011, Mon., 9PM on NBC
