Former Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett has reportedly landed a recurring role on the new HBO drama 'Treme,' states a spokeswoman for Luster's Pink Brand Smooth Touch.
Set in post Katrina New Orleans, 'Treme' follows the daily lives of a group of residents trying to rebuild after the devastating effects of hurricane. Cast members include Khandi Alexander, Wendell Pierce, Rob Brown, Clarke Peters, Kim Dickens, and John Goodman.
The Houston native just completed filming 'From the Rough,' which also stars Taraji P. Henson, Ving Rhames and Tom Felton. The film is schedule for a fall 2011 release.
Earlier this year Luckett starred in the movie 'Preacher's Kid' with Tank and had a small role in the film 'Killers,' which starred Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.
On April 13, 2010, after the series premiered two days earlier, HBO had renewed 'Treme' for a second season. The first season will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 29, 2011.
'From The Rough' is a drama inspired by the life of Dr. Catana Starks (played by Henson), the first female head coach of an NCAA Division I Men's golf team at Tennessee State University.
