The former co-host of 'The View' makes her column debut in the special Weddings and Travel issue of the magazine that hits newsstands on Jan 20, 2011.
Uptown is published eight times a year and the glossy describes itself as "the only luxury lifestyle publication for affluent African Americans."
"As an accomplished attorney and television personality, Star represents Uptown's readers and will bring added 'star power' to our consumers," said Editor-in-Chief Keija Minor.
The 48-year-old talent will contribute a regular column in the magazine, pen political, entertainment and celebrity stories, and provide some features for Uptown's website.
In addition to her new venture with Uptown, Jones will be among the celebrity contestants on season four of Donald Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice,' which premieres in March of 2011.
The Badin, North Carolina-bred personality also has a her debut novel, 'The Lunch Club' (Simon & Schuster) that is loosely based on her time at 'The View' early next year as well.
