Top 10 Worst Films of 2010
Although 2010 may prove to be a financially successful year at the box office, there were some films that benefited from moviegoers' boredom and ignorance. From Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis' ill-fated buddy flick to the glitzy 'Iron Man' sequel, we run down a list of films that had potential for critical acclaim but fell by the wayside. Here's a look back at some the 10 Worst Films of 2010.

10. 'The Last Airbender'
- How do you keep kids away from a film that is based on a hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series? Try making it an utter bore with a completely incomprehensible story line.

9. 'The American'
- When a film starring an A-list actor (George Clooney) gets released during what most critics call a dumping season (Labor Day Weekend), then you know it's not going to be good. 'The American' is a suspenseful thriller that manages to be both pretentious and artsy-looking. But the lack of dialogue doesn't do the film any favors, especially when the initial trailers are totally misleading.

8. 'Eat Pray Love'
- Not all films adapted from books should stay entirely faithful to the story. In 'Eat Pray Love,' Julia Roberts manages to make a romantic film so dull that not even the efforts of James Franco and Javier Bardem could turn this film -- about a happily married woman who divorces her husband to do some soul searching -- into a hit.

7. 'Sex and the City 2'
-Despite getting writer-director Michael Patrick King and the whole gang (Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon) back again, 'Sex and the City 2' is as dry as the country (Dubai) they leave Manhattan for. Not only are the jokes unfunny, but the film is too long, at a running time of two hours and 27 minutes. The plot is also as thin as a pencil, and New York City, which is the centerpiece of the series and the unofficial fifth character, is no longer part of the equation.

6. 'Repo Men'
- Poor Forest Whitaker. It's been four years and 11 films since he won an Oscar for 'The Last King of Scotland,' and he still hasn't found that Midas touch. With his critically panned 'Our Family Wedding' and a few straight-to-DVD films, his role in 'Repo Man,' which pairs him with Jude Law, doesn't do great justice to his illustrious career.

5. 'Iron Man 2'
- With Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow starring as Pepper Potts and Don Cheadle replacing Terrence Howard in the role of Jim Rhodes, 'Iron Man 2' starts off avoiding the pitfalls of a sequel but gets convoluted and cumbersome. As the new Jim Rhodes/ War Machine, Cheadle has more to work with than Howard did, and he doesn't disappoint. Too bad the rest of the film is plagued with the same troubles that affected 'Batman and Robin' and 'Spider-Man 3.'

4. 'Our Family Wedding'
-Oscar winner Forest Whitaker attempts to reinvent himself with each film, but comedy doesn't seem to be his forte. 'Our Family Wedding,' which also stars Regina King, America Ferrera, Lance Gross and Carlos Mencia, is filled with clichés from familiar films such as 'Guess Who?' which starred Bernie Mac, Ashton Kutcher and Zoe Saldana, and 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' with Sidney Poitier. 'Family Wedding is long in the tooth and predictable from start to finish.

3. 'Cop Out'
- The Bruce Willis-Tracy Morgan film 'Cop Out' received a lot of hype, but some partnerships don't translate well on screen. Such is the case with this comedy, which falls flat on almost every level, from the lame jokes and the throwaway villains to the script, which seemed like a failed sitcom pilot. You're better off watching Morgan on TV and waiting for Bruce to do the next 'Die Hard' than spending time watching this disappointing dud.

2. 'The Tourist'
-What do you get when you take two of Hollywood's biggest stars (Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie), put them in one film, then throw in an Oscar-winning producer, Oscar-winning screenwriters, and an Oscar-winning costume designer? One would assume the makings of a hit, but 'The Tourist' is the complete opposite. It's a total waste of talent. With a supporting cast that includes Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell, Timothy Dalton and Steven Berkoff, the real winners out of this colossal mess are cinematographer John Seale, who beautifully shot Paris and Venice, and costume designer Colleen Atwood, who dressed Jolie and Depp in gorgeous outfits from head to toe.
