D.L. Hughley: Comic Preparing Sitcom Pilot

Comedian D.L. Hughley is gearing up for a return to television.

The 47-year-old funnyman revealed in a recent interview that he will begin production on a new sitcom for TBS.

"We have a new series. It's called 'Rabbit Factory,' he told EURweb.com. "We start taping the pilot in Albuquerque, NM the 9th through the 20th of December. I play a cop with 4 kids."

TBS is also home to Ice Cube's 'Are We There Yet' and Tyler Perry's 'MImage may be NSFW.

The former CNN host, who ended his year-long stint on morning radio in New York City in August, is also planning to hit the road with comics Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer for 'The Original Kings of Comedy' reunion tour.

"We're really excited about that," he expressed.

Hughley himself also has an HBO comedy special in the works.

The Los Angeles-based comedian also contributes a weekly commentary on the nationally syndicated 'Tom Joyner Morning Show.'
