It's no secret that Kelis is one of music's commander-in-chiefs when it comes to breakthrough fashion, so it's no surprise that she has been seen wearing several pieces from the much-buzzed-about Nigerian fashion house Jewel By Lisa. Clik here to view.
Jewel By Lisa (JBL) has made a name for itself by pioneering the embellished Ankara fabric -- adorning it with beads, Swarovski crystals, and sequins. Each piece of the JBL collection is distinctive and original, fusing the vibrant West African print with an ultra-modern vibe.

Kelis also performed recently in London, where she sported a green Ankara print shirt-dress. A few days later in New York, she modeled the JBL "Frou Frou" skirt on BET's 106 & Park.
In an interview with MTV News, Kelis said of 'Flesh Tone,' her latest LP: "It's got all these ethnic influences in it. There is a Native American element to it and an African element to it and an Asian element to it. It's really tribal and kind of surreal at the same time."
