In honor of World AIDS Day, the L'Oréal Fondation D'Enterprise in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria (GBC) has corralled 500 hairstylists (including celebrity hairstylists Johnny Wright and Ted Gibson) from all over the country-and across all of its professional hair brands: think Mizani, Redken, Matrix, Logics, Shu Uemera, etc. as a part of the launch of Hairdressers Against Aids U.S. campaign.

The group of hairdressers will converge in the heart of New York City wearing red ribbon-themed hats, scarves, and vests, will be armed with Flip Video[TM] camcorders stationed near video booths located throughout Manhattan for a singular mission: to engage more than 1 million people in conversations about HIV/AIDS

These videos will then be streamed to Times Square video billboards as well as the campaign's Facebook Page and its website. Hairdressers Against AIDS is a global advocacy program that aims to empower the entire industry of hairdressers and salon professionals to use their unique relationship with their clients and communities to become a resource to interact, educate and help prevent the spread of HIV. The campaign encourages all participants to "Use Your Voice, Use Your Power, For A Beautiful World Without AIDS."

How will you use your voice, and your power on World AIDS Day?
