Ice-T Says He May Sue DMV, Insurance Company Over Arrest

Ice-T was cuffed by New York City police officers two weeks ago for driving with expired auto insurance. The former gangsta rapper and his wife Coco were pulled over in his late model Caddie sedan by New York's men-in-blue for not wearing a seatbelt. Now, according to a spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles, Ice-T's auto insurance was up-to-date and active. Wonder who's going to pay for the mistake? Surprisingly, he stated that it won't be New York's finest.

Ice-T whose real name is Tracy Morrow was hopping mad over his arrest. He felt he was taken into custody just because of his celeb status.

Ice-T angrily tweeted: "Some punk b---h rookie cop made the arrest of his bulls--t career today arresting the Notorious Ice-T for no seatbelt," the rapper wrote. "He said 'I know who you are and I don't give a f--k!'" Ice-T tweeted. "That was right after I called him a punk b---h."

Although the 52-year-old co-star of the hit TV drama Law & Order had a few choice words for the NYPD, he was more incensed with either the motor vehicle or insurance company's mixup with regards to his policy. Apparently, when police looked up Ice-T's info, they erroneously discovered that his insurance lapsed in 2008.

The question remains as to who is going to pay dearly for turning what could have been just a" ticket for forgetting to click it" situation into a very public and embarrassing spectacle? Ice-T told TMZ, "At the end of the day, after I get this dismissed ... I either can sue the DMV or the insurance company... and that's when I have my revenge."
