Photographer's Lawsuit Against Chris Brown Settled

A paparazzo who claimed that R&B singer Chris Brown's bodyguards injured him last year as he tried to snap pictures of the performer working out a fitness facility settled his lawsuit against Brown and the gym.

Reportedly, photographer Robert Rosen told authorities he took a picture of Brown playing basketball at an L.A. Fitness gym in Studio City, Calif., in March of last year. When members of Brown's entourage allegedly spotted the paparazzo, they yelled at Rosen and he ran away. Rosen then said that a gym employee caught up to him, grabbed and then held him down while Brown's bodyguard picked him up by his shorts and began pummeling him.

During the alleged beating, Rosen said he pleaded for help and begged for someone to call police, because he was seriously injured. As a result of the beat down, he says he suffered physical injuries and "extreme emotional distress."

It was later discovered that Rosen was, in fact, a paid member of the gym and had a right to be on the premises at the time.

In the lawsuit that Rosen filed, he not only sought medical expenses but also unspecified damages. The suit also named L.A. Fitness as a defendant and alleged negligence, premises liability and false imprisonment, in addition to a slew of other charges.

A news report soon leaked that Rosen had also sued another well-known celebrity, Pierce Brosnan, back in 2007. Rosen claimed that the actor struck him and caused "severe physical and emotional pain and injuries." He failed to win the suit against Brosnan.

Meanwhile, Brown, who was immersed at the time in the negative publicity surrounding his assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna, was not accused of participating in the attack.

Rosen's attorney, Andrew Bryman, reported the settlement in a court filing Friday.
