He's been keeping a low profile since his return in Tyler Perry's #1 movie franchise, 'Why Did I Get Married Too,' but Michael Jai White will soon take his critically acclaimed acting skills to the small screen.
White will appear in an upcoming Lifetime Television film, 'One Angry Juror.'
In true Lifetime Television fashion, the movie is based on the true story of a New Orleans attorney named Sarah Walsh (played by 'Grey's Anatomy' actress Jessica Capshaw) who has been chosen to serve on the jury of a murder trial but becomes convinced that he is innocent.
After deadlocking the jury, she later works with law enforcement and the defendant's attorney when the case gets retried.
White plays detective Derrick White, who works with the accused man's attorney and Walsh to investigate the corruption that lead to his murder trial.
The Brooklyn-born actor most recently starred in Toni Braxton new video 'Hands Tied,' and in the video for Nicki Minaj's chart-topping single 'Your Love' as the rap newcomer's sensei and love interest.
Next up, the 42 year-old actor, who holds a martial arts masters, will star in the short film 'Mortal Kombat: Rebirth,' and another action film, Sucker Punch,' which is due in theatres next year.
