Whachu talkin' 'bout, Mr. Examiner?
While the Utah State Examiner's office may have ruled that child star Gary Coleman's death was an accident, anyone who has seen or heard interviews of Coleman and his former wife Shannon Price, might have some nagging questions.
From the time they drew public attention as a couple, very little seemed normal about Coleman and Price.
They married in 2007 and divorced a year later. But for some reason, they continued to live together and told people they were still married.
Then allegations of two-way abuse between Coleman and Price seemed to back up some nutty happenings at their home. Police had been called to the Coleman house more than 20 times to quiet disturbances between the couple.
Even the circumstances of the death of the "Diff'rent Strokes" actor were unusual, with Coleman, 42, suffering a brain hemorrhage after a fall in his Utah home. She then made the decision to remove him from life support two days after the fall.
Price sold a pretty sad picture of Coleman to a tabloid magazine shortly before he died. And now she is fighting to have their common law relationship recognized by the courts surely with the goal of receiving Coleman's assets in mind.
It is entirely possible that the death of Coleman, who had suffered from kidney disease, was exactly what authorities said it was - an accident. But few things were normal in Gary Coleman's life. It's natural for folks to wonder if his death was natural as well.
