'Survivor': Semhar Sent Home

It was time for the first Redemption Island duel and it was Semhar versus Christine. The challenge was to balance a wooden totem on top of a pole longer than the other person. Semhar needed to comfort herself before the event. Semhar recited spoken word poetry about what seemed to be a very personal matter. The looks from Probst to the other contestants seemed to indicate they were both bored and confused by Semhar and her spoken word. Probst asked her if that was calming and Semhar responded in the positive. Unfortunately Semhar lost the challenge anyway. She broken down after the challenge when she recounted how being abandoned by her tribe echoed her real life. Probst then pointed out that she sought out the show and not the other way around. Semhar responded by affirming that the experience proved she was a fighter. It was all rather confusing and slightly self-aggrandizing.

'Access Hollywood': LA Reid Says, Kayne Big as Prince

LA Reid sat down for an interview with Dawn Robinson of Access Hollywood. She grilled him with several questions about all the entertainers he discovered. LA Reid for the record, discovered Usher at 14 years of age. LA also discovered Pink while she was part of a band. LA's track record is long and established. Dawn asked him his take on Kayne and LA surprised her with his response. LA said that Kayne is one of the greatest performers and musicians of all time, then he equated him with Prince. Yes Kayne doesn't play instruments like Prince does but LA felt that Hip-Hop generated a new type of performer and Kayne is at the top of that list.

'The X Factor': Stop Looking At My Mom

The X Factor kicked it off with a bang when Brooklyn teenager Brian Bradley, 14 hit the stage. Young Brian was very confident to the point that Simon asked him why he didn't already have a deal. Brian responded with, " umm, it's politics man, you gotta know somebody". The crowd interrupted with laughter. Brian mentioned backstage that he was going to treat the audition like a performance, the performance of his life. Simon turned to someone on the panel and commented to them. Brian took offense. Brian interrupted with "Yo, yo Simon, I see you man, what are you doing?" The audience started to laugh and clap. Then Brian took it a step further by removing his glasses and asking Simon, "What is your problem, man?" The panel was visible uncomfortable. Brain kept it up pushing further until he said, "You, I swear on my life, you lucky we aint in the streets cause if we were in the streets right now, this is what I would say to you..." LA tried to interrupt thinking it's going from almost funny to disrespectful or just confusing. Before LA could stop it Brian asked the soundman to drop it. The track kicked in and it was a rap chiding Simon for looking at Brian's Mom (assumed to be in a provocative manner). The infectious track had a chorus of "Stop looking at my mom"! Brian commanded the stage rapping and making it personal. Before long, everyone got into the song, singing along, clapping and understanding this 14 year-old entertainer put them all on. It was one of the most unique ways to do an audition. Needless to say, Brian got all "Yeses" and a strong endorsement from the gullible LA Reid.

'The Wendy Williams Show': Jason DeRulo Talks Stalkers and Sparks Rumors

Jason DeRulo came out to perform his new single , "It Girls" and talk about the rumors surrounding him. He has a track called "Be Careful" on his new CD and apparently it talks about being "stalked". Jason was careful not to use the word Stalk in describing his personal situation. I don't know if his lawyers told him not to use that word for legal reasons or there was some other issue that made him avoid the word. Jason went on to describe what sounded like stalking by one individual that would constantly call him and fly around the world to be near him. He tried to seem casual about it maybe writing the track got all of his emotions out about the situation. Wendy then brought up the rumors about him dating Jordin Sparks. He didn't truly deny it, he said for the time being they are friends. He also went on to say that he doesn't rule out the possibility of more than friends.

'Big Easy Brides': Riverboat Wedding

Kari, alocal "Nawlins", African American bride, wanted a parade style wedding complete with costumes, band, dolphins, everything she could cram on a riverboat that the groom could be milked for. As it turned out the groom had to put his foot down (on his wallet) and he refused a few items without informing the bride. Kari, who dressed like a black Cinderella, and not in a white wedding dress, was ultimately very happy with her big happy parade on the riverboat. When asked to recite his vows, the groom paused long and hard before giving the mandatory, "I do". The officiator reminded the groom that he had to go home with the bride so tread lightly.

'The Tonight Show w Jay Leno': Herman Cain on Herman Cain

Herman Cain arrived at the Tonight show to plug his book and answer questions about his candidacy. Herman Cain is an alumnus of the prestigious Morehouse University, and he listed his many corporate achievements. After listing his resume he proclaimed, "I've had over forty years of executive experience". A very Herman Cain friendly crowd exploded at that comment. Jay wanted candidate Cain to clear up a few things, one being his comment about not appointing a Muslim to his cabinet. Cain quickly interrupted to explain that he meant a Jihadist and not a Muslim. Cain said that he recognized the difference but didn't have a chance to explain that until after the debate. He went on to explain that there are several Muslim Americans that are good citizens and mean no harm to America.

'Saturday Night Live': Tyler Perry Spoof

Kenan Thompson does a hilarious spoof of Tyler Perry. The lighthearted spoof makes fun of something all African Americans should have going for them, being wealthy. Kenan targets the new statistic out that Tyler Perry earned the most money in Hollywood last year. Tyler Perry reportedly earned over $130million dollars last year alone. Kenan makes fun of the fact that every African American has not only heard of Tyler but has seen his movies more than once. Kenan also skewered low budget nature of the films, kidding that they cost only $400 dollars to make. It was a funny yet tasteful skit both admiring TP and poking fun at the theme and titles of his films. One salient point was how Tyler made it outside the system and staying true to black themes.

The 'Tonight Show w Jay Leno': Magic Johnson on Soul Train

It is no secret that Magic Johnson is one very successful businessman. He tells Jay that he only made $400k per year when he was playing basketball for the Lakers. After retiring Magic had stock in the Lakers, over 100 Starbucks stores, his own theater chain, and several restaurants to his name. Magic famously sold all his Starbucks chains and divested himself of much of his stock to invest in bringing a football team to Los Angeles. Magic teamed up with one of the richest companies in the U.S., AEG Live to bring football to LA. Jay Leno mentioned that Magic quietly also purchased Soul Train, the TV series and brand. Jay wanted to know if he did that to destroy the footage of a young Magic Johnson dancing on the Soul Train floor. We all know by now that if Jay brings something embarrassing up he must have acquired the footage as well. Jay doesn't disappoint, Jay shows the footage of Magic on Soul Train in the 80's. Magic laughed but apparently he is trying to resurrect the Soul Train brand and bring it back to TV.

The uber haute and sexy, Megalyn Echikunwoke, was on the set of 90210 in nothing but a bikini for her big scene. Megalyn played Holly a new rival for Naomi. They compete in a Greek games scene seemingly inspired by the TV show of Gladiators where the two battle with pugil sticks.

Anyone hired to appear on the hit series 90210 is has to be comfortable with their body. The cast is packed with the young and desirable. After this sexy beach scene we can add Megalyn Ecikunwoke to that list. She was very fit in her teeny pink bikini that showcased her rocking curves.
