Melanie, 18, from Florida, sings Beyonce's "Listen". LA Reid fell into a trance, conducting as she sang, no doubt listening to the cha ching sound of money as Melanie sang. LA Reid said Melanie is amazing, she has the soul, spirit and swagger of the X Factor. Simon says he started this show to find people like Melanie. LA Reid said "You are truly amazing. You have the gift." Nicole was inspired by Melanie's gift. This young girl could be the second coming of Whitney Houston, no really.

Bride, Rae Rae aka, Frankie had trouble finding just one dress. The last we heard from Rae Rae she was told her dress would make it in from Paris, France in time for her wedding day. Now we find out that the dress will not make it in time for the wedding. Rae Rae is crazy with emotion throughout the show. She begs her mom and dad to foot the bill for a new dress. They acquiesce but within budgetary reason. Then Rae Rae fights about everything. The day of the wedding arrives and of course everything that could go wrong does go wrong. The ceremony is delayed for over an hour because Rae Rae was late. Rae Rae then gets into an argument over the type of music she should be able to play in her limo ride. Rae Rae, feeling she has lost too many fights decides to leave and not attend the reception. Finally, someone steps in to bring this Bridezilla under control. Big Papa tells her she needs to stop the cussing and quit embarrassing the family. Apparently, dad has told her this before. Dr. Conrad Murray finally goes on trial for the death of Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 at a home in the Hollywood Hills and Dr. Murray was his contracted at home physician. Michael Jackson died of an overdose of Propofol when he went into cardiac arrest after the dosage. Dr. Conrad Murray is being prosecuted for Involuntary Manslaughter in the case. The District Attorney's office believes that the burden of proof is low enough to get a conviction. Dr. Murray is not licensed to practice medicine in the state of California. The trial gets started this week in California. If the doctor is convicted he faces a maximum of four years in prison.

Filed under: Daily Drama'Drop Dead Diva': Brandy Has a Secret
This is the second episode of three that Brandy's character Elisa is scheduled to appear. The rumor, however, is that there may be more room in the schedule for her return. Elisa is the ex-girlfriend of Parker and he discovers that Elisa has been keeping a secret from him for eight years. Spoiler Alert! They have a son together. Drop Dead Diva is a signature show for Lifetime and garners good numbers for them. They have picked up all 13 episodes for this season. Brandy is a great actress and has been missed on TV. Her reality show was good but now it's time to get a good fix of Ms. Norwood with her guest spot and hopefully a recurring role.

Filed under: Daily Drama'The Playboy Club': Black Bunny Ambitions
Who knew one of the most progressive shows on TV would be about The Playboy Club? This fictional story based around the real Playboy Clubs of the 50's and 60's has everything from closeted gay characters to Black female characters with actual storylines. Brenda, the Black bunny, (sidenote: Hef has always been proud of his strong stance on integration long before it was accepted) tries to become the first Black bunny on the cover of Playboy magazine. Brenda tells the Hef character in her interview that she "wants to show people that she can do anything." We find out later that Brenda has been saving all her money in a box to buy real estate. Brenda doesn't just want any real estate in the ghetto she wants prized real estate. Brenda will be an interesting character to follow. The Playboy Club doesn't just have Brenda but it also has Jennifer Lewis in the show. Jennifer Lewis' character has a strong story as well. Very few other network shows based in the white world have as many well developed Black characters in their storylines. Bravo Playboy Club.

Andy Cohen, Mr. Bravo, invited the twin sisters on to talk about the upcoming finale of their reality show. It is no secret that Watch What Happens Live, is all out fun. They openly serve cocktails and they encourage the viewers to play along with drinking games. The secret word was "Sisters" and every time someone said the word, the at home audience was suppose to take a shot of their favorite libation. The show was full of laughs as the sisters were hitting on all cylinders. They were talking in unison, (unplanned) and answered for each other, all the wonderful things we want to see twins do in public. The best part was the Pyramid type game they played at the end of the show. Watch the clip for the best moments. Even longtime friend and past co-star Jackee got into the action by calling into the show.

The members of Messiah's Men are on a mission from God, sort of. They met while refugees in Liberia, and eventually immigrated to the United States. There is a large Liberian community in Minneapolis where they all currently reside. They would love to win this contest but they have already won in life by escaping their war-torn country. They aptly describe their sound as Afro-centric, Gospel and Soul. They sang "People Get Ready." Their sound is slightly reminiscent of Lady Blacksmith Mambazo but not nearly as polished. The best thing they brought to the stage was their ebullient attitudes and their smooth dashiki dress. As far as their sound, it is amateurish; the pronunciation was weak and the tone wobbled. Shawn says that he felt the Afro-centric, Gospel and soul sounds they put out. All three judges agreed that the performance was not technically perfect. Messiah's Men were fun to watch but were sent home for not being as good as the others.

Po gets on the scale and clocks in at 115, which prompts Dice to run out the room. Dice refuses to get on the scale and be compared to the skinny Po.

Draya immediately goes over to the stripper pole and shows Malaysia some how to get down on a stripper pole. Draya then talks Malaysia into doing a couple of spins on the pole. The rest of the ladies arrive in time to see Draya back on the pole. They encourage her to show them what she can do. Draya is definitely a pro on the pole. Accordingly to the ladies, New York has passed a new law allowing alcohol to be served in movie theaters. The resident Black co-hosts for this week are Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The show hasn't officially given the job to Sheryl even though she has been there since the beginning of this new season. The ladies chimed in on whether or not serving alcohol at a movie theater would be a good thing. The two split on the idea. Sheryl said the black folk would fall asleep in the theater. Aisha felt that would just tempt people to be more obnoxious than usual. Aisha said people would be drunk texting and acting a fool.

Lamorne Morrishas replacedDamon Wayans Jr.in the second episode of New Girl. Wayans, the only black character, played Coach, one of the roommates, in the pilot but he was already committed to another show (I don't know how that works), ABC's Happy Endings. The producers decided to recast and not reshoot the pilot. Therefore, Morris Lamorne arrives as Winston, a pro basketball player in Latvia, not good enough to be primetime in America. Lamorne Morris is from Chicago and attended University there, on a Chris Farley Memorial Scholarship. In 2006, he moved to New York to work for BET. Back to New Girl, Winston doesn't get the big laughs like his roommates Jess, Schmidt and Nick but he does play a pivotal role, the straight man. In this episode his job was to win back "Top Dog" status, which would require staying in the big bedroom. Schmidt currently occupies the room and role of top dog. Winston manages to get Schmidt out of the "big room" by scaring about the pressures of being "Top Dog". Winston wins in the end.

Trainer Bob fully admits to pushing Antone to his limits. Bob mentioned that he knows the buttons to push to get the "demons" stirred in Antone. The only way to beat the demons is to confront them in the gym, that is Bob's philosophy. Antone is on the spin bikes when Bob goes after him verbally. Bob does a combination of inspiring and shaming Antone into working out harder. At one point Antone collapses off the bike, he breaks down into tears, shaking. Bob yells at him to get up and keep going to the next machine. This is going to be one tough season for that football player. In the end Antone is partially responsible for losing enough weight to push his team to the win again. Each win means that the entire team stays intact and continues to benefit from more training.

Filed under: Daily Drama'Access Hollywood': Highlights of Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial
Dr. Conrad Murray and the defense team had a rough day in court Tuesday. The prosecutor played an audio recording of Michael under the influence of Propofal. Michael slurred his words and his voice was deep as he talked about all the good he wanted to do with the money he was getting from the concert promoters. Michael wanted to establish a children's hospital for millions of children. The prosecutors also showed a photo of the deceased Michael Jackson still on the gurney in the hospital and contrasted that with a photo from his rehearsal days before. The intent was to show a vibrant Michael Jackson until the allegedly negligent doctor had him in his care. The Jackson family was at the courthouse watching as the opening statements were being made to the jurors. Dr. Murray cried.

The trial and saga continues, as Michael Williams, the assistant to Michael Jackson, took the stand. Michael explained how he received a telephone call from Dr. Murray telling him something happened and to hurry to the scene. Dr. Murray never mentioned that Michael died only that he had a bad reaction. Mr. Williams recounted how well Michael performed the night before at the rehearsal as a counterpoint to his death the next day. The legal analyst commented on how everybody had a financial stake while performing their duties for Michael Jackson, which could have colored their ethics and judgment. The inference being that each person would do whatever MJ wanted despite the negative consequences since MJ was writing the checks.

Filed under: Daily Drama'Happy Endings': Damon Wayans Jr.
Happy Endingswas one of the funniest shows that aired last cycle. The short lived show had fresh writing similar to Friends with one major difference, they have ONE black friend, Damon Wayans Jr. aka Brad. The Brad character has a white wife on the show, innocuously named Jane. Brad, aka the Black friend, is a funny character who has solid black interests amidst the white friends that he keeps. The show has no problem pointing out that Brad is black and riffing on sometimes-uncomfortable situations that can create. In this episode, Brad lies to Max, the gay character, telling him they can't hang out because Brad has a networking meeting. When Max spots Brad at a bar hanging with the "brothers", Max is offended but really just wants to be a part of the group. Max confronts Brad in a very hilarious scene outside the bar. It is witty writing.

Filed under: Daily Drama'Americas Next Top Model': Camille Better Woman than Isis?
Camille was paired up with Isis for the photo shoot. Camille's femininity seemed to be confronted having to compete against Isis. The gag in the shoot was for the models to be on stilts, posing. Camille response was " I need to go up there and I need to deliver, cause how they going to have somebody who's, you know, transgender, do a better job than the actual (pause) real woman". I would say that Camille was definitely feeling the pressure. Isis decided to go all out and nothing was too extreme. Unfortunately for Isis she had no coordination on the stilts and continually fell (they were on wires so no one was hurt). Camille did well but Isis was cold and frozen. After the shoot Isis had far more moves, she did a little booty shake and all. Jay commented, "Now why didn't you do that when you were out here". The disappointment traveled to the elimination where Isis was sent home.

LA sat back in his usual style when he's into the song he sings along and conducts from his chair. 4Shore, the self-confident group, ripped thru the song deftly. Paula, thanked them for putting on a concert. The audience stood up and LA Reid said Babyface and Boyz II Men would be proud. There were four "Yeses" for 4Shore.
